With over 10 years of experience tutoring over 500 students, I have refined my teaching style to one which is best suited to the individual. Even in a group class setting, every lesson is tailor-made to suit each student’s ability level and pace learning. Whether it is a weaker student struggling to pass, or a stronger student looking to cement a distinction, my job is to equip students with the skills and confidence to achieve their goals.
It is no secret that one of the keys to doing well in a Math exam is hard work. However, if that hard work is not directed towards working smart, then there is a lot of time wasted that could be used for other subjects and activities. Yes, through hard work a student may reach their goals eventually. Be it tips and tricks for each topic, or just making each topic more approachable, my purpose as a Math tutor is to get them to those goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Every topic will be taught from scratch in a way that I feel is most optimal for each student. The benefits of my lessons:
Curriculum flexibility lets students ask questions from their own school work;
Small class sizes encourage students to voice doubts without hesitation;
Easy-to-understand summarized notes equip students with the right tools;
Worksheet questions are curated from a library of past year questions, drilling students on how to handle typical question types;
Past year papers prepare students on how to deal with stressful exam conditions;
Personalized lesson plans help weaker students focus on strengthening foundations and stronger students push their limits.
Many students see Mathematics as a difficult subject. By providing all the necessary guidance and resources, it is my hope to make Mathematics as approachable as possible for all students.
